cast aluminum same thing as carbon alloy?

i was going to order a tattoo machine and its description says carbon alloy but the recommend-er said it was cast aluminum i was wondering if there the same thing?

Don’t think so. What is the other chemical with the carbon alloy. Aluminum is pretty brittle. Is there a third choice.
