How can I keep my red hair from fading?
ive been coloring my hair probably about 2 years now and every single time ive colored it red. every time it seems to fade within 1-2 weeks. ive tried everything I thought would work including John Frieda Radiant red products (all including the glaze) & even nexxus which i think really sucked because while using my hair fading in days. I really dont want to stop coloring it red but idk how to retain my color.
I’ve already had it professionaly done. my tia has her own salon. & she uses good products ( matrix paul mitchelle yellow)
Red is the hardest color to keep in anyone’s hair. For some reason the chemicals don’t seem to stick as well as other colors so don’t worry it’s not necessarily you. the more porous your hair is though the better. Some people have more porous hair which holds color 9especially red) better so it’s a mix of things. There’s not much you can really do. I’ve had mine prof done as well and it will hold a little longer but it’ll still fade. It’s just the nature of the color.
