My tonsils are swollen, my throat hurts??

Could this be tonsillitis?? My throat hurts a little bit too…
also, for a couple years now, my tonsils have developed holes in them, they aren’t very painful, but they are pretty big. Also, when I put pressure on the outside of the tonsil, this white gunk comes out. I don’t really know how to explain it… its sort of like hardened puss… its like tiny rocks that are soft and smell horrible. I think its food trapped in my tonsils… Help what could this be??

I would advise going to see a doctor. I had my tonsils removed when I was 17, and this sounds like it could be the same situation. Do you get sick often? I would get sick all the time, and the doctor told me that it is really hard to get germs out of the tonsil area because the tissue is full of crevices and so bacteria and germs are trapped sometimes.

It is not a fun procedure if they end up removing your tonsils, but it will be much better later. I used to be sick all the time, and afterwards the amount I have been sick decreased significantly. I also this week, I have had the first sore throat I have had since they have been removed, which was 3 years ago.
